Gene Family: Glycosyltransferases

Glycosyltransferase: Enzymes that catalyze the transfer of glycosyl (sugar) residues to an acceptor, both during degradation (cosubstrates= water or inorganic phosphate) and during biosynthesis of polysaccharides, glycoproteins and glycolipids.
