General Information:
Directions, maps and local information can be found on the Møller Centre website
information page: location
Transport options from Heathrow Airport to Cambridge:
Train - There are two possible routes to King's Cross from Heathrow, one
using the London Underground (the "Tube") to travel directly from Heathrow
to King's Cross and the other using the Heathrow Express train to Paddington
Station and then the Tube from Paddington to King's Cross.
For train times from King's Cross (London) to Cambridge please see the
Rail Planner website. There is a taxi rank directly outside Cambridge train
station for taxis to the Møller Centre.
Coach - There is a direct coach service from the Central Bus Station at
Heathrow Airport to the centre of Cambridge, please see the National
Express website for all times (from "HEATHROW AIRPORT" to "CAMBRIDGE").
The Central Bus Station is well sign-posted and coach tickets for all services can
be purchased from the Travel Centre in the Central Bus Station; if you prefer to
pre-book your ticket this can be done at www.nationalexpress.com. Coaches
take approximately 2.5 hours to reach Cambridge and arrive at Parkside bus
stop (in square E4 on this map, next to Parker's Piece). There is a taxi rank at
Parkside, but if there are no taxis there you can call Panther taxis on
+44 (0)1223 715715 or Camtax Taxis on +44 (0) 1223 242424, or walk to other
nearby taxi ranks (square D4 in the map).
Taxi - for example, http://www.airports-anytime.co.uk/cambridge.html
We would advise prebooking a taxi rather than getting a black cab from
Heathrow airport as this will be much more costly. Prior to leaving the
Møller Centre we would suggest asking reception staff for their advice in
booking a taxi to the airport. If you are interested in possible taxi
sharing please let us know and we can advise which other delegates will be
travelling around the same time.
