International Advisory Committee
The International Advisory Committee (IAC) for the HUGO Gene Nomenclature Committee was first set up by invitation in October 1999. The IAC considers issues of policy which are of importance to human gene nomenclature, and makes recommendations to be implemented by the Nomenclature Committee. Members of the committee serve for fixed terms, and new members can be proposed by emailing hgnc@genenames.org. Topics previously dicussed by the IAC are listed here
